Each appointment will last 50-60 minutes and there will be an on-going process of reviews to check you are getting the most out of your sessions.  I will work at your pace, and will always be empathic, gentle and caring, but will encourage you to move forward quicker if I feel that is right for you.  Depending on your reason for coming will depend on how long the process will last and could be short term or open ended, and we will only bring our work to an end when you feel you have achieved what you set out to.

During your first session I will find out from you what you would like to get out of the work we do together and how you will know that the counselling or coaching has been successful, and what will be different about your life once your sessions have ended.  Knowing this at the very beginning is important so that we both know what you are working towards.  Initially you may have no idea how you are going to get to where you want to.   It may seem impossible, but that is why I am here to help and guide you towards that end.  You will be amazed at what you can achieve with the right help.

I offer a free 30 minute telephone consultation so that you can make sure that you feel I am the right person to work with.  If you decide you would like to go ahead we will start our work together as soon as we can and usually have sessions on a weekly basis.  However, if you feel that the Intensive Therapy/Coaching week is more suitable, you will have 2 sessions per day.  In a typical session I will encourage you to unburden yourself of the pressures and issues which are most pressing, although what you choose to bring and discuss at each session is your choice and is very much client led. I will provide a safe and non-judgmental environment for you to say and express whatever you want and we will work towards moving you forward to a happier and more fulfilled life.

What I require from you is a willingness to partake fully in the process and to be as honest and open as you can.  My commitment to you is to provide a safe and supportive environment where I will listen fully to what you tell me without judgement and in complete confidence.

The relationship that we form together will always remain entirely professional but it will grow to become a close and personal one where I really get to know you and understand what is going on for you and why you are feeling like you do.  It will always be a kind, caring and empathic relationship where I provide an environment where you feel safe to be vulnerable and able to tell me everything that is causing you pain and unrest.  The therapeutic benefits, both in terms of personal feelings and your ability to cope with the world outside cannot be overstated.
